Burgundy Pants

Burgundy Pants, oh how much fun you are to wear. I never usually wear colored pants but once I found and tried these on,  I loved these new H&M leather button pants. Great staple piece in my wardrobe for winter, considering they match with a lot of colors I own. This time I mixed and matched colors and paired these burgundy pants along with my favorite Michael Kors blue button down, tie dye blouse. This is one of my favorite shirts I own. I bought this a few years back before I was going away on vacation and I thought the pattern and beaded breast was perfect for my trip to the Caribbean... and true fact it was and has been ever since! You cant really see my shoes since I have been mirror shooting my pictures, but on my feet are Sam Edelman Snakeskin flats. Of course on my wrist I threw on a few gold bracelets and was outtie.

New Whip!

Ok... I have to admit, I am a little too extremely overwhelmed and happy at this very moment considering my new purchase just arrived! This is a very happy and sad moment for me. Happy because I just got a brand new car but sad because I very much miss my old beauty. Unfortunately, I had lost my Nissan 350Z due to hurricane Sandy (as you can see in the photos of my neighborhood still ripping out the inside of there homes with the wood on the street) and I was devastated finding out that it was totaled and I wouldn't be having it anymore and it was being taken to the pound. That was my first car I had got when I first got my license and had it ever since then. Sadly it was damaged and I had to just let it go, if you know how it is to loose something that is meaningful to you, then you know how I feel... even though it is just a car I have a big heart for things I own. (mushy, I know

So, the story behind this is that clearly, I needed a new car and I really had no idea what to get. I wanted something different, new and something that no one really heard of or has. Of course thats not possible but in my mind it is. So my parents went along with me to Toyota to take a look (they are toyota fans) and came across this sexy piece of machinery. Never heard or knew of Scion, and as soon as my parents and I saw this in the show room, our eyes caught each others and we didn't have to speak a word. Next minute later I was out test driving it and then ten minutes after that we were ordering the Scion FR-S in Pearl, signed some papers and just had to be patient for a few days to receive it and TODAY WAS THE DAY!

Extremely grateful and happy with my new purchase and very blessed to be moving on and starting a new journey with my new car. Of course I had to dress for the occasion, I wore 7 For All Mankind jeans, with a GAP knitted sweater. I slipped on my Steven (steve madden/ old) boots and my new Joe Fresh blue and ivory polka dot hat and some gold chainzzzz, smiled and drove my new car for the rest of the day.

Subliminal Part II

If you have all read the first post about Subliminal Apparel, you would know how sick there street wear line is and how fast it is growing. This is the second post about the brand because as you can see in the photos (the designer, Joe, bf) , there is a new crew neck in the collection. This Faux Leather Sleeve Crew Neck Sweatshirt is literally the sh*t! It is a custom made cotton crew neck, faux black leather sleeves, gold functional shoulder zippers and a functional deep leather gold zipper pocket. Perfectly detailed designed sweatshirt, awesome to wear day to day anyway you like, girl or boy. On  the upper back of the crew neck is Subliminal screen printed in copper foil with skull logo and the Subliminal skully to fit the look. As you can see, we went a little Jeremey Scott on you and bought a little early Christmas present to make this man very happy. As soon as we made the purchased, what came to this mans mind was, "I have to come up with a design to wear with these shoes."

Please pray for me that I will not be walking around with Uncle Sam.

Boyish

Felt a little laid back, relaxed and boyish and thankfully I have a brother who has dope clothes that I can relay on, on days like these. Thanks to him for being so kind and letting me borrow this kick-ass crew neck, I decked it out in my grandmas gold that she had passed down to me. I was going to go with the whole Burgundy theme and coordinate the crew neck and relaxed hat with leather burgundy pants, but reality kicked in and said NO you look like a cherry/strawberry/tomato and every other thing in the red family... plus it is too close to Christmas for this kind of wear. Anyway, instead of the burgundy leather I choose black, kicked on some high top cons and went on my merry way!

Joe Mama

DECK THE TREE WITH BLACK FUR/ LEATHER HEELS!

If you read my last post, then you would know the story behind this purchase and why I made such a big deal about these shoes. Drooling over these black fur/ leather heels like there's no tomorrow and to get straight to the point, they were on sale for $60 from Joe Fresh. These High Vamp Heels were love at first sight considering the fact that I don't just buy something as soon as I see it, unless there is a connection between us, and there sure as hell was one. I hope you are all as shocked as I am to find out where I bought these heels from and how chic they look on. ;-)

Guess Who?

Looking forward to showing you my new out of the blue "mystery" shoe I found and purchased today!

STORY: While on my way to class today, I was passing a few stores, browsing the windows and while doing so knowing that I had a final in an hour and I wanted to get to class early to review and be on time... little did I know, I was going to pass this store and that something in the window was going to catch my attention and I suddenly hesitated and headed inside to check it out. I never been inside this store before and didn't know what to expect. While glancing at everything I could catch in eyes on, I suddenly saw these shoes and headed toward them knowing I had to try them on. Usually I double and triple think over something before I purchase but I LOVED these shoes instantly and was settling between two colors with many employees opinions. Perfect day to spot these beauties because not only did I need them, they went PERFECT with what I was wearing. Long story short, I bought them, I wore them out the store, I made it on time for my final and everyone in my class were drooling over them... and they were STUNNED by where I purchased them.

You will soon find out what they look like, where I got them and why they were such a steal!

Oh No...

This photo basically sums up my week last week into this weekend and I want to let you all know that new outfit posts will be coming back very shortly. I was extremely under the weather last week and did not leave my bed unless I went to the doctor or other things you don't want to know, so in result I did not wear anything besides my pajamas or sweats and that is why I have no new photos for you all and I have been displaying my wish lists all last week like I had anything better to do with myself. So while sharing some great purchases, wants and desires, which were much rather fascinating, I will finally post some outfit pictures this week... EXAGGERATING FINALLY.

Happy Hanukkah

Perks about being 50/50 is that I get the chance to celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas. Two out of my three favorite times a year, when we gather the whole family together, celebrate, have fun and eat eat eat!!! Well, this is how our nights have been, since it is Hanukkah, but another perk is that I get some goodies before Christmas and this is one of them! I haven't been the biggest fan of Coach for a while but with their change in design, I am loving there new approach in handbags and accessories. The first time I saw this bracelet I automatically fell for it, considering that my two favorite colors are gold and purple just made it that much better. This is definitely a new addition to my every day not so arm party since I usually just wear my 14k gold roped bracelet, but I am more then pleased with my new addition... Happy Hanukkah !

Santa Baby

Christmas List P1.

Ho ho ho... Santa I think I have been a very fabulous and well behaved young women this year and believe I deserve some awesome gifts. KIDDING, but really this is my list, part one of what I became very attracted too and have been going back and forth and making sure these items are exactly what I want. Considering that I change my mind as much as I change my clothes, I have to over think and analyze what I want before I actually say I want it. Shooting straight to the point of this christmas list, I REALLY REALLY NEED THESE MR. CLAUSE AND CAN'T WAIT TO OPEN MY GIFTS CHRISTMAS MORNING TO SEE WHAT I RECEIVE.

P.S: My cookies are the shit, so make sure you eat as much as you can because I doubt you'll eat better.

The Season of Layering

Considering I was on a whole different approach to this post, I ended up with this fun colorful layering look. My favorite thing about winter, besides the holidays is in fact layering. Since summer dragged out and ended up to be the hottest b*tch this year, I was tired of wearing nothing and was excited to wear a whole ton of shenanigans! So here is what I got for you for this fun colorful winter ensemble, a little out of my "stay true to simplicity" and in fact went a little too much holiday spirit. I found a ton of great garments, and in fact not too expensive either. I loved these green velvet trousers paired with these great metallic blue oxfords along with these cool color blocked socks to keep those toes warm. (mine freeze) For the top half, I layered a great polka dot sheer tee with a jean button down or grey sweater.. or in my opinion everything together. I am loving this chunky jeweled necklace with a this fantastic fur scarf and knit hat.

Nike Blazer Mid ID

___ HELP IS AT ITS MOST DESIRE ____

First released in 1973, the Nike Blazer made its mark on the basketball court for its simplicity and broad range of colors and I fell in love with the design. I need these Nike Blazer Mid IDs and cant figure out what color, fabric and design I want for Christmas! They are so incredibly sick and I want to either keep it in the grey/blue/purple category or go to the extreme and make them funky... but then again, I want to be able to wear them as much as I can, thats why I want to keep it simple, but with some pop of color. Soooooo while I figure out what colors, fabric and design I want on my shoe, I want to display some ideas I had in mind. Here you go.

Colour

I'm having this new obsession with a mixture of great dull winter colors. Keeping it simple without going color-crazed definitely defines my type of style. I'm not a big fan of mixing too many colors together, I like to keep it simple while incorporating some great accessories. For the winter, I'm a HUGE junky of oversized hats, gloves and scarves while also having my sunnies, watches and jewelry to accompany them depending on how much I have on already. For this post, I mixed and matched garments I own, with items that I would love to accessorize my outfit with. I always go toward a great pair of leather pants, and with this winter weather a great chunky knit sweater to keep me nice and warm. Along with the outfit, I paired a great knit hat considering I like to go above and beyond what I like to call "hat-age", and currently debating on purchasing this huge pom-pom hat this week. Last week I took a stroll through a few stores on 5th Ave, and wound up finding these great faux fur neon blue jeweled fingerless gloves and the white/gold watch. From head to toe, to keep my toes cozy warm (JK) I am in NEED of these low rise boots (on the christmas list), along with this great zipped grey coat. As you can see, I am enjoying the fine winter yellows, blues, grey and burgundy!

A Beautiful Surprise

What a beautiful surprise it was to be apart of my aunts surprise bridal shower/ wedding. It was hosted at a beautiful restaurant called Prime on the water in Long Island. Even though it was chilly outside, it was still a very nice day and I still managed to take a few photos. I love love love parties, especially when it involves your family, great food, new memories and a wedding that you are in! The party was so much fun, the surprise was the best, and this outfit choice was perfect for the occasion since everyone couldn't take their eyes off my weapon of a shoe. Leading up the the food, it was fantastic, the dessert was out of this world and by the end I was in a food coma and couldn't wait to take these shoes off and pass out!
