Black/Grey Details

Details, Details, Details… got to love them even when they are so minimal, that's the best in my opinion! An additional new purchase is the Nike Tight Fit Capri and Nike Dry-Fit Knit with black trim detail throughout. You can never go wrong with too much black, grey or Nike apparel. On my feet I wore one of my ultimate favorite Nike Free Flyknits, I promise you they are just too comfy and go with about anything. Definitely a great outfit to get you through a long day and still make it to the gym!

Splash Of Color

I will forever be on an activewear kick. Just purchased these Victoria's Secret Sport leggings and I adore them! I never looked at or tried on VS Sport apparel, as I was in the store shopping I came upon the sport section and decided to give it a shot. These Knockout by Victoria’s Secret tights are extremely comfortable, light weight, and forms well to the body. Given that the design, color, and detail is something that I wouldn't normally choose, but change is good and once I put them on I knew I had to have them! With the leggings I wore a light grey AmericanApparel racerback tank and my Nike Free Forward Moc 2 N7.

Sporty Mix

One of my favorite things to do is mix and match my active wear. Since I have many different brands, it's fun to wear them together. These Nike tights (similar here) are one of my favorite go-to Fall/Winter apparel, I can honestly wear them with anything, especially when I am running around all day I either dress them up or down. They are very comfortable, light, and have breathable mesh patches throughout, including adjustable zip ankle closures at the back with reflective trim. For the top, I recently purchased these American Apparel racerback tanks in various colors, they are incredibly lightweight, soft, and a great transition from casual wear to gym attire. Underneath I have on an Under Armor sports bra, definitely one of my favorites due to the fact that it is so comfortable and works with you during your workout. Last but not least, on my feet I have on Reebok Crossfit Nano 4.0. They are seriously so comfortable, super light, and I can wear them straight to the gym!

Been Ready For Fall

Summer was amazing, but Fall has its perks! New clothes, closed shoes, fun activities, and lots of layers! Slip-on sneakers have been my new favorite item of this past year, especially pairing them with a great straight leg jean. My struggle to find a great jean is real, especially when you have a booty and some muscular legs, going jean shopping or clothes shopping overall accumulates a lot of patience and time. My outcome to going jean shopping always results in a trip to Bloomingdales, where you can try on as many jeans as you want from several different brands they carry. One of my favorite brands is J Brand, they are always super light weight, stretchy, and form great to my shape. I like jeans that aren’t thick in layers because it makes you look bulky and also restricts your movement and I need something that will last me throughout the day in comfort and in style.

With this, I wore my new favorite ‘Pins and Needles’ sweatshirt from Urban Outfitters, also another comfortable go-to piece of mine and another is my snakeskin textured slip-on sneakers from the Gap. I went through hell and back to find these beauties in the neutral color, they sold out so fast that I checked the website everyday to find my size and as soon as they were up I snatched them! Comfort is key and also feeling good about what you are wearing. Your style reflects who you are and how you feel so always be true to yourself and you’ll always feel and look your best!

Comfort to Casual

Comfort is my best friend. Being involved in fashion since finding it an interest of mine at a young age, to attending pre-college classes, and in fact completing a four year bachelors degree at LIM College, I always thought that I had to look my best day in and day out. Within the years of being inspired by Manhattan culture, working countless internships and jobs, meeting many fascinating people, and reading various fashion blogs, I have learned that everyone has there own way of expressing themselves, no matter if you think they look good or not. You tend to realize and interpret what makes them feel most comfortable through their own appearance, and if you're like me and take in inspiration for positivity, change, and thought, you will then find yourself in their position and find happiness for yourself. I am not saying that I was never comfortable with what I wore or how I felt, but from high school to being a college graduate, A LOT had changed over the past four years that you sometimes need to revaluate yourself and accept it, because change is good.

Overall, I love comfort. The days of wearing pants you can’t move in, shirts that are to short, and shoes that destroy your feet are over. I am more aware of what I put on my body, what looks right, what feels right and what I can get through the day with depending on what I have scheduled. With this, I love athletic gear. Anything stretchy, breathable, light weight and provides 100% comfort I am all for, especially since I go to the gym 5 days a week, I like to incorporate my leggings, sneakers, and tops into an everyday approach. Here I have on Lululemon leggings, my new Adidas Pure Boost, and my new Urban Outfitters crew neck sweatshirt. I tend to wear a lot of athletic attire when I am on the go, and it's a great transition from running errands and then making it to the gym!
