summertime

Since graduating college and being thrown into the real world (work) shortly after, there was about two weeks of freedom for me before I started my new job. Shockingly, I was thrilled more then unhappy to start a new chapter in life, but unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to the beach (my favorite place to be all summer). FINALLY after weeks of wanting to sit on my beach chair, toes in the sand, drinks in hand, salty air in my hair, and the sun roasting my skin... I made it! Nothing beats total relaxation in a bikini and some loose beach attire.

Sometimes just a little bit of print makes an outfit! Also, I am loving neutrals lately, anything warm, minimal, and clean so when I saw these espadrilles (steven), first I thought that they were not something I would usually buy since I am not a fan of animal print, but I knew once I tried them on that they had to be a staple piece in my summer wardrobe... Love them! 

Overalling

This is my favorite pair of overalls/ one piece/ go-to leather garment I own. I bought these overalls at Free People a few years back and when the warmer weather approaches, I can’t wait to break them out and wear them each spring and summer with new items I have collected throughout the year. Such as this linen striped Gap button down shirt and slip-on Jeffery Campbell sneakers, along with my black and gold cat eye Versace sunglasses. I bought them a few sizes up to give them an oversize approach, great for everyday wear. Plus they are super comfortable!

SWOOSH

Double the trouble or double the swoosh? Can't go wrong with some Nike action to get you through a rainy day. Loving my new oversize mesh Nike logo tank, Top Shop high waist leather pants, BCBGeneration denim jacket and Nike Free Flyknit! (fav sneaker ever) Sporty casual? I say so. 

 

SPORTY

When it comes down to wearing heels during your work week and then Friday hits, your feet are all banged up, and you just feel like being in your pajamas and lounging all day, my favorite go-to style to get me through a Friday or any day in which I just need to feel comfortable is an enjoyable and sporty look. Of course I am more then obsessed with working out/ work out clothes, but to keep it casual in the office I preferred to wear these amazingly comfortable dark grey Gap Body shorts (new), light grey oversize Zara tank, Lululemon cropped hoodie, and my crimson Nike Roshe Run. This amount of comfort had gotten me through a long Friday while pulling off a 'sporty' look rather then a 'going to the gym' look. Try it out!

GRADUATION

GRADUATION; my cap speaks for itself. Best day of my life. By far the happiest, proudest, and most accomplished I have ever felt. Of course for a special day you want to feel and look your best! Under my gown I wore a Diane von Furstenberg dress, which was super comfortable to get me through my day along with nude French Connection blocked heels that are a perfect basic heel for summer! I graduated from LIM College with a bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising, our commencement was held at Lincoln Center and it couldn't have been a more perfect yet bitter-sweet day.
