The Season of Layering

Considering I was on a whole different approach to this post, I ended up with this fun colorful layering look. My favorite thing about winter, besides the holidays is in fact layering. Since summer dragged out and ended up to be the hottest b*tch this year, I was tired of wearing nothing and was excited to wear a whole ton of shenanigans! So here is what I got for you for this fun colorful winter ensemble, a little out of my "stay true to simplicity" and in fact went a little too much holiday spirit. I found a ton of great garments, and in fact not too expensive either. I loved these green velvet trousers paired with these great metallic blue oxfords along with these cool color blocked socks to keep those toes warm. (mine freeze) For the top half, I layered a great polka dot sheer tee with a jean button down or grey sweater.. or in my opinion everything together. I am loving this chunky jeweled necklace with a this fantastic fur scarf and knit hat.

Nike Blazer Mid ID

___ HELP IS AT ITS MOST DESIRE ____

First released in 1973, the Nike Blazer made its mark on the basketball court for its simplicity and broad range of colors and I fell in love with the design. I need these Nike Blazer Mid IDs and cant figure out what color, fabric and design I want for Christmas! They are so incredibly sick and I want to either keep it in the grey/blue/purple category or go to the extreme and make them funky... but then again, I want to be able to wear them as much as I can, thats why I want to keep it simple, but with some pop of color. Soooooo while I figure out what colors, fabric and design I want on my shoe, I want to display some ideas I had in mind. Here you go.

Colour

I'm having this new obsession with a mixture of great dull winter colors. Keeping it simple without going color-crazed definitely defines my type of style. I'm not a big fan of mixing too many colors together, I like to keep it simple while incorporating some great accessories. For the winter, I'm a HUGE junky of oversized hats, gloves and scarves while also having my sunnies, watches and jewelry to accompany them depending on how much I have on already. For this post, I mixed and matched garments I own, with items that I would love to accessorize my outfit with. I always go toward a great pair of leather pants, and with this winter weather a great chunky knit sweater to keep me nice and warm. Along with the outfit, I paired a great knit hat considering I like to go above and beyond what I like to call "hat-age", and currently debating on purchasing this huge pom-pom hat this week. Last week I took a stroll through a few stores on 5th Ave, and wound up finding these great faux fur neon blue jeweled fingerless gloves and the white/gold watch. From head to toe, to keep my toes cozy warm (JK) I am in NEED of these low rise boots (on the christmas list), along with this great zipped grey coat. As you can see, I am enjoying the fine winter yellows, blues, grey and burgundy!

A Beautiful Surprise

What a beautiful surprise it was to be apart of my aunts surprise bridal shower/ wedding. It was hosted at a beautiful restaurant called Prime on the water in Long Island. Even though it was chilly outside, it was still a very nice day and I still managed to take a few photos. I love love love parties, especially when it involves your family, great food, new memories and a wedding that you are in! The party was so much fun, the surprise was the best, and this outfit choice was perfect for the occasion since everyone couldn't take their eyes off my weapon of a shoe. Leading up the the food, it was fantastic, the dessert was out of this world and by the end I was in a food coma and couldn't wait to take these shoes off and pass out!

Subliminal Apparel

Subliminal Apparel is a sick new clothing line based out of Uptown NYC. Their awesome streetwear and their subliminal designs are eye catching, inspiring and stimulating ... as you can see in the pictures of the Copper Gas Mask Sweatshirt. This is just one of the designs that they offer. Since they are a new and upcoming line, there will be more dope and creative designs to come. One amazing thing that I have learned about Subliminal Apparel is that they take pride in what they do. They use the best fabric, the best quality and make sure your clothing will last a lifetime and not fade or peel off. Check out their website, I am sure it will not disappoint you. More of their clothing to come!!!

Oh, and follow them on Instagram: SUBLIMINALAPPAREL
